Why We Keep Our “Legacy” Systems

It’s an odd expression but we think it’s fitting here. Do you throw out your refrigerator because it’s “old”? Do you replace a perfectly running transmission after 20 years because it’s “old”? You can – but is it the best choice? Is it cost-effective? Probably not! Your legacy code is still working – maybe not perfectly, but very well!
